As you know, the climate in Scotland can be extremely harsh and it’s good to know that thousands of Speedroof conservatories all over Scotland stand up to our weather year after year. Our roofs are designed to withstand winds of 130mph.
In the past using a glazed roof meant a limited design choice. However, Speedroof’s extensive experience and engineering ability mean we can offer you an impressive degree of design freedom. We offer the following options:
Colour:
Full RAL and British Standard paint range with unique golden oak, rosewood, green and mahogany wood-grained foils. We can powder coat and colour to any architect specified RAL or BS colour.
Glazing:
25mm and 35mm polycarbonate and 24mm sealed glass units
Roof Pitches:
Mono 2.5% – 37.5°, Duo 17.5°–37.5°
Glass Conservatory Roofs
Available in sizes from 24mm-35mm, we offer a range of high performance glass options engineered and designed for conservatories. Celsius glass offers increased solar protection and heat insulation, cutting out almost three quarters of the heat energy from the sun. Available as an option we also supply, Pilkington self cleaning glass, it stays in pristine condition all year round. All glass options offer superior noise insulation when compared to polycarbonate. All roofs are available in various frame colours and finishes.
Polycarbonate Conservatory Roofs
Available in various colours and thicknesses to suit your budget, polycarbonate is a lower cost alternative to glass and can offer excellent solar protection and thermal qualities, though at the cost of reduced light transmission.
Light in weight and offering high strength, it’s also available with Solek inserts to reduce heat build-up on sunny days. As with our glass roofs, all polycarbonate roofs are available in various frame colours and finishes.
Aluminium Frames
Our advanced aluminium frames offer high strength and light weight, combining state of the art ideas and design technologies with elegant contemporary profiles to make virtually any roof design. We have an attractive range of top caps and decorative cornices and finials too. Our high quality seals and gaskets remain operational and elastic in even the worst weather conditions.
Lightweight Tiled Roof
For the ultimate conservatory upgrade we’ve designed our very own solid roof system. Designed to fit any standard conservatory it gives the look of a traditional tiled roof but with the benefit of being light enough to fit onto a conservatory frame.
The Speedroof Tiled Conservatory roof is extremely strong and offers outstanding thermal properties. It is properly ventilated for long life, and actually weighs less than a standard glass conservatory roof. A stunning upgrade for any conservatory.
Roof Enhancements
Speedroof offer a huge range of decorative enhancements that allow you to tailor your conservatory roof to your exact specifications.
You can choose from a wide range of cornicing, crestings and finials for the perfect finishing touch. For something extra special we offer central lighting panels, interior pelmets and super-insulated columns that allow you to add a lot of additional insulation, spotlights or even speakers around the perimeter of the roof. This allows you to combine the light you enjoy from a conservatory with the look of an orangery or traditional sunroom.
